Did his B.Sc. from Central College, Bangalore, and then completed his Engineering Graduation (Civil) from  Bangalore Engineering College in 1946. Served XCentral PWD till retirement. 
he has one son (A.Manjunath)married and settled down in USA and one daughter(Arundathi) married to an army personal and now staying in Bangalore.His closeness to the author is also shown by  a photograph shown below

Shankara Murthy's Life story.
       After finishing his SSLC at Bangalore, he came to Madars with the author of this family web site, namely Doreswamy,
in the year 1948 to start a small business together.
      After working together for some time in the electrical concern, Bangalore Radio and Electrical Engineers, at Pycrofts Road, Triplicane,(where the above photo was taken), the author handed over the concern to him and left for job at Bombay etc. saying that he would return after retirement.
       Meanwhile he was lucky to get as good plot of land at Adya in Corporation auction.
       He then got married, and had four sons when he was living in a rented house at Ellamman colony, very near to author's house.
       He built the house of the author at Teynampet,Chennai, from his funds, after purchasing the plot, as the author was away on job in Gujarat State.
       From this expereience he built his own house on his plot, and  lived comfortably there educating his sons as well.
       He got all of them married to educated girls and all conatinued to live there as a combine family.
       He ran his business from there itself  there after and was responsible for starting his own Kashyap consultants, a plastic tube factory at Mogappair ,Madras, and continued his electrical contract and consultancy work.
       He was very popular amongst his clients, such as banks and private cos, because of his honest dealings.
       Due to his continued illness he breathed his last in at end of April 2005, handing over the management to his sons Raju and Papu.
       Raju has one son about 6 years old and Papu has two daughters, about 10 and 5 years old and studying.
       His one son, Mr.Arun had migrated to Singapur with family, and is now a citizen of that contry. He has one child.
       One son, Manjunath is working for a foreign  firm and is based at Dubai. His family also is with him with a child now.
